Clinical Psychologist

Rachel has been a registered psychologist since 2011 and has worked locally in Toowoomba across public and private settings since 2013. Rachel established Lighthouse Psychology Services in 2015, located at Mylne Street Mental Health.

Rachel is a Clinical Psychologist who provides therapy and assessment for children, adolescents and adults for a range of mental health concerns including anxiety, depression and stress. She has a particular interest in helping people adjust to change across the lifespan. Although change is normal and helps us to grow it can also be unexpected, unwelcome and difficult to manage. The mission of Lighthouse Psychology Services is to provide confidential, professional and supportive therapy to help individuals navigate life’s challenges with learning, wellbeing, relationships and change across the lifespan. Common concerns that people face include: children’s social-emotional, behavioural and learning challenges, schooling, adolescence, employment, relationships, parenting, retirement, ageing and health. 

Rachel has full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia, which comes under the umbrella of Australia Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)She is  a full member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). Rachel is also a Fellow of the APS College of Clinical Psychologists (FCCLP).

Rachel is a registered teacher with Queensland College of Teachers and has taught in Australia, England and Japan across child and adult sectors. She has extensive experience in psycho-educational assessment, learning and behavioural interventions, social skilling and vocational counselling, working as a Guidance Officer with children, families and schools. Rachel has completed Master degrees in both Education (Guidance and Counselling) and Psychology (Clinical). She combines her psychological and educational training and skills to help individuals work towards improved change and a brighter future.
